The Olympics was born in Greece and has evolved quite a bit throughout the years. Based on chapters 5-7 and what you have watched on TV during the Beijing Olympics, have you noticed any similarities or differences? Explain.
I have not seen any similarities because the games are different but track and field was then but other than that cant think of any thing other than track and field.
Some similarities would be track and field where they throw the disc and they had running races. They also had boxing and they had weightlifting. Some differences would be they didn't have different swimming events and they also did not have gymnastics. More countries are involved and we have different medals.

Some diferences were that women were not aloud to compete and now they can. In Ancient Greece only citizens could play. They did not have gymnastics, soccer, basketball, diving, or swimming.
Back in Ancient Greece only Greek men were allowed, and now women are too. They have some of the same sports as we do now. They are still every 4 years. People travel all over to see it. Everybody is allowed to try out.

What I watched on TV during the Olympics is the track and field it is different than ancient Oplympics because back then they sounded horns to start the race and now they fire a starting gun both are the same because players still win medals

In Ancient Greece was different because they use horses to grab on with wheels and are similar in javelin, discus.
